WHY CHOOSE US

St. Benedict Technical College

St. Benedict Technical College is a Catholic-founded, not-for-profit private institution of higher education located in Kisubi Mission Village, Kisubi Ward, Katabi Town Council, Entebbe, Uganda. It is a vocationalized technical college offering diploma-level and higher training, focused on developing skilled professionals in technical and technological fields.

The college was established by the Kampala Archdiocese in collaboration with St. Joseph Technical Institute as its diploma-awarding arm. Its authority and governance are entrusted to a Board of Trustees and a Governing Council.

Our vision is to be a center of excellence in technical and technological education, research, and community engagement. St. Benedict Technical College is committed to producing professionally trained, innovative, and entrepreneurial technical personnel. We aim to nurture talent, foster invention, and support the development of new technologies and services in engineering and related fields.

Our curriculum is hands-on and practical, incorporating both modern and indigenous craftsmanship. In addition to technical courses, students are trained in vocational entrepreneurship, ICT, social and life skills, and research. This approach encourages self-reliance, creativity, and innovation in a fast-evolving global landscape.

We embrace interdisciplinary teaching methods that bridge technical skills and technology, preparing learners to solve real-world problems through innovative solutions.

St. Benedict Technical College proudly leads the implementation of the Techni-Techno philosophy in Uganda — a practical and innovative model that emphasizes real-world outcomes through technical creativity and innovation. This concept is grounded in the Triple Helix and Cluster Model, fostering collaboration between the college, the private sector, and the community to drive societal transformation and sustainable development.
